Stinkwheel's mostly Citroen stuff, now Maestro madness

there is the tank now to undo the fasteners,

All came undo apart from the jubilee clips on the filler neck, they decided to self destruct, nothing a strategic angle grinder won’t solve

Tank down and hose changed

now for the fuel pump ones

and then new plugs, fresh oil and jobs a good ‘un

 Today the maestro had to be welded outside in the high  winds (as the mini is now immobile in the garage) 

reason, exhaust fell off, see below

soon sorted with some added gusseting for strength

Then I realised the n/s sill and a post were a bit, well, gone

lots of cutting, welding and taking little card templates for cutting bits of metal to stick in the gaps later, seems I didn’t follow the line of the sill very well, but fuck that shit, at least it’s made of metal now, look how far back the bloody rust went as I poked at it (as can be seen by how much is covered in zinc rich primer)

No pictures but today the Maestro has had, 

new rear shoes, wheel cylinders, new brake fluid,  new rear dampers and a few other little odd jobs. 
 

must thank @grogee for selling me the suspension bits and bobs, the good top spring cups and new rear dampers were just the job.

tomorrow might be front dampers and lower arms with all new bushes and ball joints. If I feel like doing them.

Excellent! Another one lives on. It's satisfying getting all those new bits on and being smug, knowing they now actually work.
