The Grumett Indiana

I was just thinking of putting my name down on a new Vauxhall Viva and reading the reviews etc when I came across this strange creature, the Grumett Indiana, Grumett were based in Uraguay and had Vauxhall make up glassfibre molds for the HC Viva and Chevette, 

Here's the Indiana

I only discovered these things earlier this year. South American cars a brilliantly oddball and somebody really needs to write a proper book on the subject.

There was a nuts Grummett four-seat pick-up based on an HB Viva before the Chevette became a thing

What a gorgeous piece of kit! There was a Chevette Crew Cab pick and (Viva HB) Van

Indeed.  If only there was a motoring journalist out there with an interest in, and talent for finding, obscure old cars...

I once rode in a Fiat Oggi in Cauca in Colombia. One of my better taxi rides.
