All very exciting! Wife, dog and I are getting ready to head North to Tavi. The Kia is her replacement car due to several reasons, some of which are my fault...

The blue mini has been her ultra reliable daily for 9 years with only one failure to complete a journey (leaky radiator), due to pregnancy she could no longer fit in it safely so I bought her a series Land Rover - I is stupid! Land Rover no good so got free Berlingo - had to replace gearbox before use as was borked. Failed to notice that MOT expiry date exactly the same as baby due date and not sure I will have time for necessary repairs at moment as workshop is occupied by Land Rover (suprisingly*) and I have lots of pre-baby jobs to do.

The common sense answer seemed to be to buy a car, unseen, that was many miles away and rely on some strange strangers to get it closer to me, cue 6cyl et al.......

Just dropped the keys for the Kia to eavb,

He stopped by later as I was pulled up with my head under the bonnet of the sprinter. Did I have a problem? Very nice of him to stop. No problem I was just seeing if I was getting max throttle travel under the bonnet as the van is slowwwww.

Yes, thats full power, it turns out.

Was great to meet 6cyl and hairnet and catch up, 6cyl is certainly living up to his (user)name with the CLK!

A Mini Clubman estate, Berlingo and Series Landrover! A fleet for winners! :-)

All the best to you both for the other impending new arrival, too! :-)

Glad to hear the Rio made it to Devon, and I hope Eavb's onward journey to deepest Cornwall goes as well.  Love the Tahiti blue Clubman estate; I had an Allegro in the same colour back in 2008 (where does time go?) and think it's an underappreciated shade!

Also echo Mrs6C in wishing Eavb all the best with the expanding family.

A bigger fleet of winners now, of course! :-) The Rio is a bonny little thing.

ROFL at HMC pulls out of Tesco in minibus - leaves Chris for dead and then is doing laps of a roundabout so Chris could catch up ( it was busy)
