Whatever these things are:

Drive with us: Test driving the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQC

There are loads in Essex (I know it's a Mercedes of some description); look at the running boards!  Or in particular, look at how the door bottoms reflect an image of the running boards.  They are all like that, or the dark coloured ones are anyway.  It looks rubbish!  Merc ought to have put a little bit of non-reflective trim along the lower parts of the doors.

Not as bad as how shit they look in the dark with that wanky led halfords light strip across the front!

Peugeot 305 rear doors look longer than the front doors.

BMW i7 rear side window is only actually half transparent. Presumably it covers part of the C pillar

Never realised until recently that the headlights on Series 1 SD1s aren't flush and the bonnet and indicators stick out awkwardly in front of them. It looks like it's had a shunt that pushed the lights back.

KLU 693V - 1979 Rover SD1 V8-S

The facelift made them flush. A simple change but much better.

See also the original Carlton:

In the case of the Carlton, I think Vauxhall were forced to use Opel Rekord front wings and headlights but wanted to create a more sloping front end.

Mercedes EQC. Wot you saw, plus on most cars, the top of the inner door trim is flush with the top of the door pressing.

Not with EQC. There's a nasty obscuration band to hide the inner door trim:
