Ah good old free cars.

I've had (no family members cars included) :

Mondeo mk1 V6 estate

Scorpio cosworth

Granada 2.9v6

Bmw 528i E reg

Land rover disco V8

Renault Kangoo

Various ka/fiesta/escorts

Couple of mk3 astras/cavaliers.

Only ones used in anger were the V6 Estate, fantastic cars, the 528i and a blue escorts.

Best car under £150 I ever bought and used for years was a mk4 escort 1.8d.

Drove from Swansea to Southampton on 1/3rd of a tank of diesel. Then drove all the way back and still didn't move below 1/3rd!!!!

It was amazing on fuel.

so dropped it off today to get the brake pipe and sills welded, all done for £150 which is very nice, so now the picasso has cost me £450 for repairs which is pretty good

Picasso

The future Morris Minor.

Now it just needs slamming and some banded Rallye rims putting on it....

Still just a Xsara underneath aren't they?

£200 coilovers, some 15x8s and away you go...

oh a scorpio is very nice!

Yeah they were throw away cars back then to be fair and it had serious emmissions issues hence the free car but what a lovely drive, loads of power and easily slip sliding away if required.

Really comfy and well equipped also, the first car I ever had with reversing sensors that worked great, a traffic light style system you could see in the rear view mirror.

Priced up cats/lambda sensors but even with my employee discount they were prohibitive so it got passed on.

I'd love to try a proper one, later model facelift estate with all the tinted lights etc as I always liked the styling, it was just at the wrong time, merc swapped all their models over to round lights around the same time and kept it that way for years which I loved but then big ford's have never sold well hence their acquisition of several "larger " brand cars.

It even had the old full diagnostics through the dashboard affair which again was fully functional, battery voltage the lot.

Great news on the Picasso, usual clever Citroen design sometimes thwarted by poor execution of build quality but get a good one like you have and its a car for life in theory.

i think my dream car is either a scorpio with the cosworth engine or a rover 820 fastback (base model of course)

I need to get the picasso retested before the end of the month but hopefully it should pass.

it needs a couple of little tiny things doing to it then it will be finished for now

that's how i plan to sell it in probably a few years, would so much rather it be sold on here to be at least looked after rather than sold on facebook and wrecked

To one of my dads mates, honestly not going to be taking it there again, he's quite expensive and takes a real long time

So pablo took me on the first holiday in years i've been on, of course performed perfectly.

These pods are extremely cold when you forget to bring a heater.
