The last NEE meet was six months ago, so I'll pushing for opinions for where and when and we can try to agree something.

Hopefully we don't need an internet celebrity to attend (though DW is always welcome to the region), or if we do Jim Bell counts.

Lets see what ye says.

Edit: Added https://theriversidekitchen.co.uk/index.html by popular demand.

Open to better suggestions of times, dates and locations.  These are just some that cropped up last time.  I reckon meeting after tea is pointless because it's dark.

Edit: Some inland suggestions would be very welcome,  Somewhere up the Tyne valley perhaps?

Would recommend. Hugely enjoyed my last visit. May waive my appearance fee. Please contact my agent.

I could be tempted if I've got the Jag sorted enough by then, it's not doing long trips till the pumps are done as I don't really trust it because of them. Or if it's warm enough for the bike...

March is better than Feb for me and the Riverside Café looks a nice venue.  No guarantees I'll make it at all, as usual, but I'll do my best since it was a good meet last time, though it's hard to believe that was six whole months ago!

I'll be there where ever and whenever, but what's convenient for the MOST AMOUNT OF PEOPLE is probs the most idealist.

I will be hugging my 'big wish' wand but the Broomstick may be ascendant in the end game...

16th march good for you both?

Posted

That does imply I should offer some further dates in march. Which I'll do when I get near a computer.

Are Saturdays popular enough?

Posted

More dates added, if not specified it's march!

You can vote for every day, time and location which works for you

Posted

Probably up for anywhere, this Saturday a bit too early for me though.

OOOoooooo are you bringing the Red Merc of SEX?

If I understand that I am very disappointed.

Your Toyota would be a very welcome sight!

Edit: as would you be, let me know if I or anyone else can be of assistance :)

Possibly, I've done nothing with it for weeks since the roads have been salted. i'm off for 10 days now so obviously the fleet will be honed to perfection, I'm not going to loiter drinking tea and browsing the net, no sir. First priority move on a slightly broken 530d BMW.

Fudge, I just realised Saturdays are a total no go for me because of work.

Posted

Disappoint.

But Cholly is winning and that's closed on a Sunday. Would be up for two in close succession, if we do a Sunday somewhere in so-far-south-it's-basically-yorkshire

Posted

I would probably be interested a southern meet as well as Chollerford is 75 miles. I used to live in a village nearby and I bought my 944 from the garage next door!

Posted

So, tentatively..

Sat 3rd in Cholly, then Sun 10th in Sunny Saltburn?

I might ask someone closer to sort out a meeting point etc. for the southern meet, I don't really know the area that well.

What sort of lunatic would use the M6 when the Peak District is there to enjoy en-route?

...Would it be the green one that a chap from Felton knocked on my door about the other day...?
