Can't be much of a car enthusiast if that's his attitude.

No, he should give it away.

"I want £300 for this car but if you don't buy it I'm gonna scrap it for £100

What the fuck are you waiting for?"

Posted

Usually I'd be right with you but if he can claim back £100 on the tax plus the stereo then £275 isn't exactly greedy.

Granted it's not the ideal way to offload a classic car but folks from here and BXC know about it and could save it given cash, space and inclination.

I'm tempted myself but Ms C would castrate me if I drove to Scotland to fetch a petrol BX hatch before I've even bothered to drive to Wales to offload the current one.

I agree the price is cheap enough, I just don't like the whole attitude, it gets my back right up all this "buy my fucking car or fuck off" that sellers have started coming out with, there's a chap selling a Escort on another group whos doing the same.

Plus if the seller's who I think it is then hope he gets crushed with the car after needlessly calling me a cu*t recently.

I would take it on, but I'm not going to join the NSA's front organisation just to buy a car that's not a Bristol 405.

Also, Dunfermline sounds like a suburb of Mordor to me, so I'd not go there to collect it all by myself.

I like that BX but i'm NOT BOTHERED if he decides to be a twat and crush it.

It's been for sale for a while and he's had nothing but messers, even at that price.

There's a lot of crap listed among "Classic Cars."  Is nobody policing this stuff, ebay?  (NB that isn't a complaint about the two above, although a 1.3 Montego is a bit marginal...)

Where's he been advertising though? I've not seen an ad on here nor on the BX Club. If the only place he's advertised is on that Facebook group, then it's hardly surprising that it hasn't sold.

I like a lot about this cheeky little Rascal, not so keen on the price though.
