I know it hasn't been messed about with a great deal (yet). But it's the fact that somebody can take a pristine model of a car and start altering it like this that annoys me. Doubly so when some owd lad has really looked after it. Was there really, honestly any need whatsoever to lower this?

 

Is there really, honestly any need to leave a boggo hatchback totally standard? It still looks like an absolute honey to me; it's not like he's nitromors'd half the panels, hammered out the arches and welded pineapples to the roof, is it? Having owned a mildly-lowered Mk2, I can promise you it will still go over bumps perfectly well. If you're that upset, buy it and put some standard springs back in. ;-)

i can look past the pram hood, its the fact the engines the wrong way round makes me want to throw all of my internal organs up over my keyboard haha

It's a lot more work than a RWD zetec conversion and just doesn't make sense, RWD is better!

That Polo is gorgeous, be even better if it was Derby, love those first model's crisp cut lines.  Tend to agree with the first poster though, the lowering ruins the look of it.

That Japanese site has some dangerously tempting stuff on it. The prices are so cheap that I'd consider finding something utterly random and obscure on it and bringing it over.

Presumably that's why so many Japanese imports have already made their way over here. Did the importers get a good deal on shipping or was stuff just so cheap over there that making a profit was nae bother regardless?
