I'm 99.9% sure it's non-interference, it's the same basic engine that's in my Civic and that's also non-interference and I've even had a couple of "experts" tell me that if the cambelt snaps no damage will happen.

It didn't make much economical sense to him did it, he must have spent a fortune in money and wasted time building that, that wiring loom would scare the shite out of me.

Stupid question amnesty - were there Diesel baders of these?

 

No diesel automatic 405 ever produced, although there was one converted, apparently quite well, on ebay recently.

 

Citroen seemed to be the one into diesel autos as evidenced by all the ZXs and Xantias & Xsaras produced.
