Bloody hell fire. Is that an FLF (Flow Lines Fairings) kit? They seem incredibly rare full stop, the only ones I've seen IRL were on KH250s, I think, and some photos of X7s with them on. Team colours always looks great with these things. The Kwackers looked brill, but the Heron Suzuki X7s were the pick of the bunch, imho.

I love X7s, had a couple when they were cheap shite. Paid ÂŁ100 for one.

My mate's Aunty had an N-reg one in the late 80's with that arrangement, she must have been some sort of masochist...

That'll have been the same arrangement as my 6.  They're not bad at all, a lot more precise than you'd expect given the convoluted linkage, and definitely no worse than a contemporary Renault floor shifter (although admittedly that's a low bar).  Having the gear lever a handspan away from the steering wheel is also handy.

Yeah it's not too far from me, thanks for the tip but I think on 9 bars health and heater not working it's not particularly tempting.

Couple of gems from this weekend's ACA catalogue.

Funnily enough ...

I'm thinking fantasising wife-induced-blinkering at a couple of the MBs that may* need TLC - after factoring in collection and hammer fees then it's highly unlikely to happen but here we have, in random order:

Broken CL600 that seems to move under its own steam:
Currently. no bids

Broken CL500 that does not move at all. CarTakeBack may offer something for it when it's unfixable
Currently at ÂŁ25.

Broken SL350 that appears, on the surface, to just need minor TLC (also  the EML is on with no mention but the roof works). I think there were three SL350s in the last auction but couldn't swear if this was one of them.
Current bid ÂŁ50

That SL might work out cheap (in relative terms).

IIRC in the pre-Xmas auction none of the SL350s realised much wonga but they all worked.
Ostensibly, from the MOT history, this one needs tyres, a pair of springs (unless you just replace a singleton) , discs & pads plus a suspension arm or bush.
Ballpark figure on that under ÂŁ1K?

Seeing as there's not a thread entitled "Cars I would like to own again but my wife would kill me" - have this.
Currently ÂŁ1400 - dead ringer for my trusty commutahmobile back in the day.

Looks clean as a whistle, all uppy-downy suspensiony bits work and it has a pretty decent write up

Online auction today over at Kings Lynn
