Im puzzled. The Metro didnt come with an 1100cc A Series, only the 998 and 1275cc. So has he pulled an A series from another BLMC motor or whut?

The car has been prepared as parts of my sons 4 year training / motor vehicle apprenticeship project

 

It wouldn't surprise me if it had a 1275 nicked from it an a 1098 swapped back in.

Whilst this looks nice, it winds me up when people claim manufacturers service history when it's just a back street stamp in the service book. Ok a Merc service would be more than this is worth so why claim it ? Just makes the seller look like a twat or a liar, either way somebody you don't want to buy a car off.

That fella is a shite hero; I chanced upon his house when I was out with the Montego one day, he had a moonraker blue Maestro Mayfair, three Metros and a pageant blue Maxi on the drive. Think the Maestro was the only one working at that point, the Metro had been his daily drive for a 60-odd mile daily commute until then.
