My GR4 Bulgarian struggled with all the text but I'm not sure GoogleTranslate did a much better job than me.

That Talbot looks brilliant. Read the description, he saved it from being scrapped and rebuilt the entire thing. There are literally only three other people in the UK who would bother saving a beige Talbot Alpine from being scrapped, ad I know them all by name. Because they are all on this website.

Kudos to the guy for taking the time and cash to save it, and it now looks about a million times better than it did when it left the factory on those wheels. Wanky checkered pez filler cap aside, I would love to cruise about in that.

1,376/10 for effort

That one was clearly converted in Italy. My guess is Dario Casale did it.

Beyond my limited realms of knowledge, although I presume he's not the first Dario Casale that google spunked on me.

The latest from Dario casale (@KDARIOC). Sometimes... After you sleep with someone... You gotta kill a fish.

I doubt you will find much about him on the web, he retired at the dawn of the internet age.

One of his trademarks is the downward dip of the beltline behind the doors to allow for a big side window without raising the roof. He applied this to many cars and it works beautifully on some. The nicest ones I've seen that he made are a Fiat 130 and a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Also note the coffin compartment completely clas in stainless, often machine turned.

His heydays were clearly the 60s and 70s, but he was active from the 1940s, converting a lot of pre-war stuff, too.

Thankyou, once again, for increasing/diluting my knowledge.

'Only bad thing the last time I used it one of the front pads fell out resulting in it melting the caliper and nearly giving me heart failure'

Woah look! Isn't that Dollywobbler in the background, returning from another laning session?

That's a strange one. He's estimated a 1.3 Jetta is worth the same as an e34 M5. I think I'll take the m5. No pineapple on mine please.

I'm actually quite partial to that modified Talbot, I'm big enough to admit that.  Very happy I don't have the readies burning a hole in my pocket otherwise I'd literally go out and buy it.

I had one of these many moons ago, it was fucking awful. This seller is involved in some serious wee-wee relocation if he thinks it's five grand's worth.

Am getting seriously bored of all this "TIT 44X was supplied by Distinguished Motors in 1980 to a Mr Old Crusty who only used it once every hundred years to buy Werthers" bollocks, and then adding 4K to the price.  The Doctor has a lot to answer for.

At least that price tag should save it from chopped springs and a chrome roofrack

That Talbot Alpine:

it drives very well on its 15" fiat barchetta steel wheels

...does this mean he's changed the Talbot's pcd or the Barchetta has 108mm pcd?

It's on my watchlist too. Let's discuss a bit closer to the end of the auction how serious we are, so we avoid bidding against each other.
