If anyone here buys that, I am just up the road and will throw in a tea to go with that biscuit

I don't know it really, but if I had some money rather than a Golf, I would probably have bought it. Had a cambelt change 7k miles ago, CCC member, baffling lack of interest - it's been for sale for months. A BX diesel with less than 80,000 miles on it is rare indeed. I have made initial enquiries but a Skoda Estelle is now tempting me instead...

Thanks for the encouragement*.

It is exactly those less than 80k miles that make me shiver. How come nobody enjoyed driving it? Was it a permapatient in the local Citroen Clinic? If it had 275k miles on the hygrometer, the case would be clear, it'd be a darn good car, obviously, and I'd trust it.

Finally for sale after 10 years of love and cherish, is one of the most famous Fiat 131's in the world. This is the famous car once owned and raced by Frank Church.

So this one isn't famous then?

However, a tidy example as the one offered here on Ebay can make upwards of EUR 30k in Italy, where it has some sort of Escort MKII status, so the asking price is actually realistic, believe it or not.

Oh, and the one I just posted recently changed hands in Germany - for 185,000 Euros.

The engine looks 100% Miss Lette compatible.

I'm not sure y'know.  In my experience Mobylette engines tend to have the engine mount as part of the cylinder head, and the cylinder itself is more vertical.  That looks more like a Pug 103 engine if anything.

These 2-dr Granadas are supa rare, I wonder how many they made cos I don't ever remember seeing any back in the day even in car mags and that.

I thought this car looked familiar and found this photograph of one I spotted back in 2010.  Thing is, the one I spotted definitely has a removable roof of some sort.  I can't remember where I was when I saw it but a bright red Cortina with a black roof and five spoke alloys is the sort of thing that sticks in your mind.
