eBay tat volume 3.

That BX looks nice. I do wish they'd replace the broken indicator though - they're not expensive! Over the past month, that's been priced at everything from £795 to £2995. Offers great value at that price and Olympic Blue is a stunner of a colour.

This should go into "bargains" thread really, but I'm sure DW, should his lottery numbers come up tonight, would be keen...

So:

Looks lovely!

RARE and GENUINE ORIGINAL condition

Sounds good, tell me moar.

covered under 10,800 miles!

So it's not had a chance to dry out it's heater pipes and set fire to itself..?

I have owned her since 2011 and carried out the following;

1-Brand new galvanized chassis

2-Light body refurbishments-taking off scratches and blemishes

3-Brand new diamond seat covers

4-New master & brake cylinder

Then surely it's not "GENUINE ORIGINAL condition" then is it, you ponyfister?

And its TEN BAGS.

That's hilariously overpriced. Low mileage it might be but as you say, no longer original and I can see rust around the windscreen, on the doors and the headlamp bar by the look of it. Also, the headlamps appear to be pointing straight at the ground and it comes with an entire three months of MOT. NOT VALUE.

@DollyWobbles, just out of interest, what IS a sensible price for one like that? I'm thinking about half that, tops.

I think even £5k might be a struggle. If that really is rot lurking under the windscreen rubber, then it's quite a job to sort out. If he properly sorted out the cosmetics, then the asking price wouldn't be so ridiculous. He could spend a few hundred quid and actually add a few grand of value to it. Mind you, the people paying strong money for 2CVs usually know sod all about them...

23,000 miles, lovely Mutha and Fatha_outlaw had one on a 1987 D, same colour and everyfink! I span it on a roundabout "borrowing" it when they were on holiday.

Anorak Mode:

Looks great in the best colour, caymen blue mettalic.

Ahem, I think you'll find that CayMAN blue is a Ford colour, and this is "Moonraker".

Anorak mode off. I'm probably wrong, i usually am....

Anyhoo, finishes 18.25 tomorrow (sunday) currently just over a grand, no reserve.

The springs have been cut by one coil, for a lowered look, this has no affect on the drive, it handles better in my opinion. I've read that they have no problems on various websites

YOU ARE QUITE LITERALLY A RETARD

This car is indistinguishable from the real thing. Only a complete Ferrari anorak could possibly tell the difference between this car and the £250,000 originals.

OK, it's not even remotely shite, but honestly when you could have this for the same price as a new Focus, it's time to question how much you really want a warranty, lots of airbags and dealer-supplied floormats. I am a little bit in love.

It's downright antishite, but in principle, you are right. For the exact same reason a friend of mine bought a Bentley S2 instead of a new Golf.

http://www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/3092489/Renault_14TL/

"1980 Renault 14TL with the 1218cc "suitcase" engine. Imported by myself from France in 2010 and registered on a V plate. Currently on SORN with MOT expiry. Colour is white.

For the MOT it will need 3 tyres, replacment brake servo and welding to both rear radius arms, apparently these are quite hard to get to. The OS front sill is corroded but not affecting the car structurally, although I would think it would definately need repairing.

Bodywise the car is tatty with filler in one door, the doors would ideally replaced as one is quite a lot of corrossion, two have dents (it was in the Paris suburbs) and all have been badly sprayed, otherwise it is not too bad!! Also one rear door needs the locking mechanism putting back together, I think that is not a large job.

Mechanically it is quite strong, the engine is quite smooth and pulls well, the carbourettor may need some work but I do have a repair kit for it. The gear linkage bush is missing which means the gear change is quite loose, I have it secured with a cable tie, it has been like it for two years and I have got used to it.

The interior is quite tatty but probably serviceable, currently the seats which are worn have black seat covers.

All in all it sounds quite a sorry state, it really needs someone who is good with bodywork and welding and who is enthusiastic enough to keep it on the road. I may have made it sound worse than it is, viewing is more than welcome.

I don't want it to end up with a banger racer or anything like that, if that is the only option then I will try and persevere with it. I would like to swap with something old and interesting which will obviously need some work but preferably more mechanical."

If anyone wants to take that 14 on I have got a nice interior in grey all there except the n/s/f seat has been stripped to remove the base foam and springs. The cover is still very good. I am going to weigh it in very soon so be quick it's very very cheap (buy me a pint and take it out yourself) The doors on my one are all shot as well but have all the locks. or buy whats left of it for spares for scrap money (its just the interior thats available for a pint !!)

Lovely, real wood dash FTW. A mate of mine had a 1.3 signal orange Ghia when we all first started driving in 1988. His dad was a Ford dealership director and some old girl had traded it in with a daft low mileage, it was a minter.

Say what you like about the bloke, he can't half find some crackers! 9000 mile 1.6 Ghia, anybody fancy guessing what the finishing price will be?. I'm guessing £5700

Not usually a fan of these but that is nice. I predict a closing price around £5k.
