Tempted as I am an 8 or 9 hour drive to get to the ferry in Bilbao then a 36 hour ferry home it would get rather expensive. Not to mention the record temperatures down that way in a 70's car with no air con

The crossing Bilbao to Portsmouth would be circa £500+ so its as cheap to drive depending on how much time you have and where you want to get to.
