Purplebargeken, it's always Purplebargeken

Re: Blue AX.

Yes, highly likely.

That's rather cool* that Cruiser - no yeehaw tat on the outside and the top spec too. Don't be misled by the diesel - it's a Merc lump, turbo-ed, and pulls like a train, innit. Well mine does but it may have been twiddled with at some stage by the prev owner.

Don't want another though - scratched that itch, and as soon as I get something else, it's gonna be roffled off. I'm resigned to the fact it may* take some time to sell the tickets....

'led to believe 1of 3 made'

My eyes lead me to believe there's fucking millions of rusty wheelbarrows still about.

Probably not the car, this is the third time it's appeared in a month. No negative feedback though so who knows. Start price is a load higher this time round too.

Ended April 2nd, £454.44, 17 bids

Ended April 30th, £360, 17 bids

I contacted the seller.

He says the past two high bidders didn't make contact at all, thus he relisted it

priced now for its actual value.

I told him I strongly disagree, since there is hard evidence its actual value is below the past two auction results.

Whatevs blah, but the car is just bloody awesome!

I need to raise £47,000 to pay off a vexatious developer who enticed me into a county court case with the view of getting me to fund his development, his initial claim was for £500;000 which failed however I was lumbered with the costs in the case having lost on out of time disclosure.

It became apparent early on in the case that the developer he’d his eyes on my properties to enlarge his development.
He now on the Aniversary of my brothers death has given me 4 days to find £47,000 or he will apply to the county court to force the sale of my properties, which will also put an end to my business in building Bentley specials and restoration.
I have a full work load of 4 Bentley specials to build and some other clients with Bentley work.

Classified Ad - price = 400,000

WTF is he asking for and offering here?  Seems like a way to publish a rant not a car Ad.

This is like that bloke that keeps listing the AMC 290 short engine

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMC-Jeep-290-cu-inch-V8-brand-new-unused-short-motor-1970s-new-old-stock

I offered him £500 which was more than I think it's worth because I am one only about 11 people in the UK with a use for it.  He declined.

Also the ad is bollocks - this engine wasn't fitted to Jeeps.

I bought a complete engine and transmission for £650.

He's been listing this since at least 2012.  Fair enough he doesn't want to sell it.

Well, he responded by insulting me personally.

Apparently he isn't leaving anything untried to put off parties interested in something

that regardless of its rarity evidently still surpasses demand at this time.

A strange strategy I must say.

There are some bleeding odd people on ebay etc - I wonder what the Venn Diagram between "sellers" on ebay and unsuccessful online daters is?
