I'd rather see it with a Majestic Major engine on open headers scaring the shit out of people about 2am.   Unrestored, of course.....

Being advertised as 'kit car parts?' of which helpfully there seem to be absolutely none of on this car. Including the HGF'd engine.

0/several thousand.

I KNOW a bloke who is building something similar.  Because he was able to buy an RGV without engine on the cheap and you can't get one for love nor money. I think he was fitting a 1000 cc Twin 4 stroke.

That's the Renault lump found in lots of things. Mostly the 12 but also in 5's 4's Estafettes pretty much all Renaults from the 60's to the 80's. Volvo used it as well in the 340. A very common simple engine but also prone to overheating and blowing head gaskets.

Ahem...

these are, i take it, a cheap version of the Crysler 300C? with less cylinders? and even uglier?

The Magnum was available with the same V8s you'd get in an American 300. In fact the smallest engine you could get is the 2.7 V6 petrol and 2.7 Mercedes diesel available in the 300.
