Interesting choice of (presumably limited edition) model name there....

As a source of Quintet spares though...

I'd give a few quid just to have the flip clock as an ornament

Sell the plate to a late-plate madness ford collector

Even though it's bodged about (that rear light conversion*, is it even MOTable like that?)  I want it.

Is this a fella over on PH ?

  • This vehicle was the 45th 75 2.0 V6 Connoisseur to be made out of 3,681
  • This vehicle was the 1st 75 in Damson Red (code: CEB) to be made out of 1,592 Damson Red 75s

So, pre-production in 75 terms means anything but?

Indeed! The 75 lickers might be able to tell us if it was a launch model, I remember someone having 2 on here, can't remember who!

I do really want a V8 Tourer and have already been to see one that, although good value, was a bit of a wreck. I really want an SE spec though as it has full leather (along with other goodies) rather than the shitty quality half leather*, and a pre-facelift so it feels more like a cow than a wetsuit. They're proving hard to find so I was keeping an eye on this as the price travelled south. Problem is the front end in the pictures, even by later MGR standards, is appallingly aligned. After a bit of digging I found the owner on Facebook and when trawling though his wall stumbled across a blurry picture of a silver ZTT hanging over what appears to be a tyre-wall on a trackday....

Were there any pre-facelift V8s? 425th off the production line is probably in reality pre-launch production, Rover would have produced perhaps a couple of thousand ready for the launch so that every dealer could have some in the showroom and whoever had put their money down beforehand. True pre-production are often cubed because they don't meet type approval or to save on tax.
