That Vento has a Golf front end on, deffo a bit of Pineapple going on there. That Caddy too, it looks like it has crashed in to a cheap car accessory shop window, and all the tat stuck to it

The Iveco UK fan club is chaired by Cavcraft himself, no doubt he'll be along shortly to gush at length about them.  I can only imagine how excited he'll be about one with 20 years of horse piss soaked into the floorboards.

I did see that blue BX and consider it, but I got disapproving looks for suggesting it and I've potentially found a perfect spares car for my Fiat duo, so....someone else on here better buy it.

I used to drive a fleet of those Ivecos.  AFAICS there's no noticeable Ford input, but they're not a bad old tool if the price is right.  My big complaint was the dogleg first (and generally low gearing) and the radio placement: approximately at your left ankle.  Brilliant* ergonomics there!  Oh and the sliding side-loaders had a habit of falling off, but on a horsebox that shouldn't be an issue.

Ford and Iveco are (or certainly were, I lose track) the same company. Ford commercial division was sold to Iveco

I once bought a SWB 35-8 off a bloke in Watford.  He'd owned it for four years, and he genuinely thought it was a four-speed 'box - he was completely unaware of the existence of the dogleg first.  To be fair it had such a low-ratio axle that second was about the same as first on a modern van, and comfortable cruising speed was about 55 - I did wind it up to 70 once but it sounded like it was about to put a rod through the block so I didn't try it again.

I don't mind them to drive though - they ride decently enough for something built on a truck chassis, and they cling on fairly well in corners.  The later 2.8 turbos go pretty well too.  They rot, but no worse than a Transit, and being a proper separate chassis you can get away with a lot that you wouldn't in a monocoque van.

Its had no colour change, its still silver!!

Explanation:

Upto around 2007, car colours by the DVLA was defined by the colour of the chassis. The Smart Roadster has a chassis with body panels attached, so you don't see most of the chassis. However the bit is visible is the c-pillar section and windscreen surround. There were two options, standard was black, cost-option was silver.

I believe Lotus Elises have the same thing on their colours.
