I don't understand what's going on with that Merkur XR4. Seems odd to convert it to XR4x4 running gear and put a poxy cologne back in instead of the 2.3 Turbo. If it ever really was a Merkur, it's had a rather convoluted and slightly pointless life.

I did message that guy about the TZD and he's really pleasant to talk to. Sadly it needs quite a few interior bits and a windscreen.

 

However at £190 it's ridiculously cheap. I'd have had it had I got space.

Insure and claim on the windscreen cover?

Brand new BX screen is £120 fitted, not worth the hassle of a false claim. I think £190 is optimistic for a car that would be worth £500 when it's all sorted. Does look nice, but there is no danger of me buying it. I'm almost cured.
