That's been round a few times now.  I don't think it's reaching his idea of a sale price.

When you can buy mint Proton Gen2s with ticket on an 05 plate for around £500, I think £150 is about the top value for that red saloon with short ticket, and seller doesn't realise that tax isn't transferable either anymore

YCC always have prices in the stratosphere, must consume lots of Colombia's finest marching powder, that van has a severe case of Tetrosyl application on the sills and front valance, and some awfully shit cheapo alloys, also unless it's the light, the windscreen is delaminating in the bottom corner, a very common Maestro fault

YCC need a sharp kick in the knackers for those gopping wheels on that van.

My equivalent of a Nigel Bickle mega collection would be popping over to the low countries to pick up the Mondy's ugly american cousin.

I think it has keep fit windows, no sunroof and air con. Winning spec!

I've had this odd desire for its american sister, the Mercury Mystique, for a while. A good looking car imo, better than the original Mondeo I would even say. But then again I love cars with full width taillights and sleek front ends...

Full width tail lights is usually the first thing to be binned when a car is "adjusted" for the uk. :(

Following this logic, if I can get an 80s Silver Spirit for 5k, then a Silver Ghost shouldn't be more than 1,500?

I've been outbid.  How far am I prepared to go?  Decisions, decisions....

I think he meant that's what the general car buying public would think. New cheap car = good, Old cheap car = bad.

Well it looks like I've found out how far I was prepared to go, and the answer is, not far enough.  I've bid up and up and still not touched whatever the other guy bid, so I'm oot.  I'd've had to draw against one of my credit cards, there's only so much I can face paying back.

£500 would still be a good deal for that, but I can't go that high.

There's nothing minty fresh about this one. It's been relisted at least a thousand times as well.

Oops, hadn't looked at all the photos.  Get the MIG out.
