I reckon it's only the weird "status" conscious Brit. market that is obsessed with "spec" & "equipment" and the one-upmanship of the trim level badge.

 

Other markets give the buyer the choice to spend their money on whatever gearbox they like plus the big engine without having to shell out for a load of poundland gimmicky shit (that detracts from the car's design) at the same time.
