I mean, who wouldn't want to sleep in that next to that electrified bollock squeezing thing?

Here's me thinking "Oh, alloys and colour-coded trim. Probably a half-decent engine in that."

That is smashing.

I've sent him a message to say as much - and that I might give his chain a tug next week.

Oops, I just did the very same before you posted this..

Ha. No bother. You go ahead! Once you've worked through all of the issues, I'll make you a derisory offer.

Can't say fairer than that!

Saw a mk1 (r reg) yesterday as it happens, in that great yellow colour they did. Tried to wave at the nice young lady driving it :-)

MOT history on the green one looks good, but maybe selling because a fail is on the way!

My grandad had one and I remember the gear stick having a very long throw.

Looks nice but the mis-matched interior puts me off, at that price anyway. Although maybe that's just me expecting too much. I seem to remember Philbusimo having one the same age and colour ( but with matching seats and lovely wheeltrims) for sale for £800 a couple of years ago.

But this has confirmed to me that I must have a proper minimalist S1 SD1 one day , which is ironic because when they were 10 a penny , I always went for the newest , highest spec I could find.

This is in total contrast to my dream Granada which would have to be a late GhiaXi Executive, just how I see their characters, I suppose.

2.0 Sri engined Mk1 Cavalier. It's been drifted and the diff exploded but doesn't look irredeemable

Lots of choice parts on there; the RWD family2 engine and 'box, Opel Manta interior bits, Englemann mirrors etc. Reminds of one that was in the Manta Club about 10 years ago. No way of knowing if it's the same car I'm thinking of.

I might be tempted myself if I could sell one of my unpopular cars,

If it's actually been drifted I imagine the shell will be very tired and really quite floppy, assuming it hasn't repeatedly gone sideways into an Armco , of course.
