p.s. looking at the side profile I could imagine those windows being covered by B&Q wooden toilet seats, hinged from the top

One check comes up as 6/9/73 and gov.uk 11/74. I'd say it is the latter going by the chassis number.#

I was going to ask him is it is on Leafs still but can see it isnt so think he deserves everything that is coming his way. BTW the only S11a bit I can see is the top half of the bulkhead. Up to the bottom of the windscreen.. But that is pretty much it. The door tops and cab roof could be S11a but none of that is going to contribute to DVLA identity points

Is there nothing the scene tax brigade won't ruin with hideous accessories and shit? Admittedly it's taken about 17 days to find a picture of a standard one on the internet, but the original things look really nice. This is the automotive equivalent of painting your Grade 1 Listed Elizabethan mansion pink and bastarding orange.

Not really shite, especially as it's been messed with, not to mention that £4k is strong money for an early 80's mini, but these are one of my favourite versions, and there's only a few left. Although it's a shame that a Metro had to die for this car, the 1275 engine probably gives it the sort of punch that it really needed, given that this was sold as the 'sporty' model when new.

 

Would be better in Primrose(?) Yellow though....

Bet they can. I had an A6 on a V reg with the 1.8T albeit the 150bhp one and it was a pig sometimes

 

Proper VAG sensor laden bollocks that makes a Laguna II look like a sensible ownership proposition.

especially if its a nifty colour, like Arum white......

I had one, same colour too. They are ok, not the underpowered slug you'd expect. twin carbs take the O series to 101 bhp and they'll sit at motorway speeds nay bother. I suspect it will be a very limited market of people who actually want a 2000, now as in when it was current, its completely overshadowed by the V8 ones.
