Someone made my old XR2 into one of these.

They're in better taste than some of the things folk do to old Fords.

I can't believe it. Whoever has written the ad has put 'every think', instead of everything, I thought that was only used in a tongue in cheek fashion!

"Hand full" too.

It really winds me up that people like this spend thousands making a car non standard, especially the nasty wheels on this one. Still at least it's not a "barn find".

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the Consul was the 2 litre variant, other than the Consul GT which was the 3 litre V6. The 2.5 was a Granada I'm sure so this sounds like a right mongrel to me.

If it is the same one I'm thinking of it was an odd MOD spec car. Originally black I think and had a ropey lpg setup fitted.

Red interior best on a Mult. That looks insanely cheap, but I guess at that price it's safe to assume it's totally rotten underneath and only a couple of steps away from the bridge. Nice cars, though

That multipla is a good colour and wheels combo. The interior doesn't look like it's has as much banana and chocolate rubbed into it as you'd expect .

I'm only going from memory but fairly sure the Consul and Granny could be had with 2.5 or 3.0 V6 (My Dad had two 3.0 Granadas, but fairly sure I remember another bloke locally with a 2.5 Consul.

The 2.0 engine (Consul only - but available in a granny after they dropped the Consul)  was originally the V4 as fitted to the Corsair and Transit, later changed to the Pinto.

The interior of the one in the Ad looks like a Granny - maybe a GXL.  It looks to have a Ghia badge too, which (if it is that) is wrong too as Ghia versions didn't start until the facelift, and you couldn't get a Consul Ghia anyway.

TL:DR You're right, it's a bitsa - although hardly a rare thing in an old Ford.
