Whoever has custody of the shite Sierra base should buy this as a stable mate. Trouble is, it'll probably end up going for £11,000 or soemthing to some fucking spoon who'll ring it into an XR3

Thought long and hard. But it's 3 door in the middle of the country and on the most prominent sites in the UK.

Chance of a fair price? Minimal.

You'd want a better description/decent look round it first mind.

EDit: This was in my watch list, should have acted quicker. £700 for a 430 is crazy, bet it was a right laugh to drive:

Yip it's a got a 1.6 zetec engine in it. It was on eBay a while back and there weren't any engine pictures either, which makes me think it's not the neatest of jobs.

I had the van version, good motors, slow but quite short geared so for short distance/under 70mph driving although I used mine back and forth to Swansea from Aberdeen a few times @ 75/80 with no major issues.

Some fool had run it on veg and as far as I can tell they don't like it, the state of the oil coming out of the engine wasn't a good sign either.

Had really started rusting underneath which wasn't visible from above as the body had zero rot in fact not even any visible rust.

Only issues were it stopped charging quite soon after I bought it which was traced to a dismal design of a kind of link cable to the battery which actually shortens the route of the alternator cable and then any loosness of battery causes it to pull away at the crimp and you get random battery light on failures. Also very fussy about good battery connections.

Front caliper got a tad sticky for no real reason, usual fix, also it gained about 10mph by running it on decent fuel and stopped smoking so badly then too??? Great handling from the mid engine combo, amazing heater and so easy to work on.

That looks a barg for the early bids.

Nice looking Safrane with just 71K, £100 start no reserve! Did have a £450 BIN, but seller has removed it.

It (the BIN price) has gone because there's no reserve and someone has bid on it.

Edit: that Reliant three wheeled van 'thing' is an absolutely epic find, probably the best thing we'll see this month. I doff my proverbial hat in your general direction.

Always wanted to try one of these 'cause of the seatbelt arrangement.

That's some late registration madness ,right there.

I had an immaculate one owner B reg Bedford Astravan when it was 10 years old with 26,000 miles, but mine was a Mk2.

Wasn't anything fancy like this L though, proper basic 4 speed Dizzler, of course I ruined it with GTE interior and wheels. It stayed in the family for about 10 years and had done 150,000 miles when my Dad scrapped it. I'm pretty sure every mile was foot to the floor, as long as you never backed off it could cover ground pretty well.

Was even stolen by Pikeys once, a mate spotted it on dodgy plates in Bicester, the Police weren't interested, so me, FathaN and one of my brothers went to take it back- probably the only time in my life ( so far)I've been punched so hard I ended up on my arse! Got arrested although not charged, then they had the cheek to charge me for recovering it from the Pikey site. Probably went on their crimes solved* list as well !

Sent the seller a message asking for the reg on this, he replies saying "please read advert? re communication"

Let him know I hate using the phone, please let me know reg blah blah blah so he replies

"I don't like giving out reg numbers I will tell you it is a 53 plate but I will not give out the full reg, id theft is a growing business"

Who's out to pinch the ID on a 2003 MG TF ffs? Anyway, it's on the nose and arse when you drive down the road. Verdict: enormous spanner.
