keef
That Wolseley looked like it was a pretty nice car until recently; Yep. At first I thought it was the one mentioned on here a while back, but that was an M reg one.
Morgan84
I remember seeing a Landcrab rally car replica at a Norwich classic car auction about 5 years ago ( from memory ) and that made over £5000. It was red with matt black wings and a roof rack if I remember it right, and had decals all over
keef
I remember seeing a Landcrab rally car replica at a Norwich classic car auction about 5 years ago Probably an 18/85 rather than a Six.

keef
http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=landcr ... s:20,i:147 There was a Wolseley one around, but it wasn't as good as this. I don't think the Wolseley was ever used by the factory they always used Austin or Morris.
keef
I don't think it was tax exempt, In which case it might well have been a Six. Pity the search engine isn't that good on here as I'm sure there was an Historic rally look a like on an Ebay thread on here at some point. Morgan84
Unless it was a Austin I saw - memory plays tricks after a while, and seeing so many cars, but it was definately red, with a white roof, and matt black front wing tops, and had rally style switchgear inside, map light and a bucket seat

phil_lihp
These things seem to be exceedingly good value now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAAB-93-5-door-TURBO-2L-manual-GREY-Metallic-ALLOYS-Grey-Velour-Interior-/200826448779?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2ec2306b8b That to me is a lot of car for the money, especially with 12 months MOT and (if it's true) the thorough service history. KruJoe
Out of interest, how much was the Saab? The listing has now ended so it doesn't show.Have a Domino for your troubles. It's bargainous at £150 with full test and it's taxed, but needs some love. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-DAIHATSU ... 1117991335 very cheap to run - £25 fills the tank upMong. For that reason, I'm out.

dollywobbler
Aw, that little Domino is super, and just the job as a potential Mini replacement. Shame it's miles away. Rather stuffs the economics of a cheap car.
Junkman
That 33 has been on and off 'Bay (and in the same pile of bits) for at least 5 years now. It seems to pop up again with another owner every year, can't miss the plate. Wish someone would fix it up. The problem is there are crucial parts missing to make it run with the old 4x4 gear (that is what was said in the advert he bought it off last year, iirc). I have a good QV engine and gearbox (2wd) spare if you want to get it up and running. That inner wing tells me it's going to be crunchy squeezy both sides, so poke those rear turrets too Sometimes there is a thin line between shite and junk, and especially for a real shiter, it is difficult to admit that the line has been crossed. But all things considered, the truth is that the Alfa has had it.

He needs those spares. Still, hats-off to him through. He ought to be on here (probably is)! Unless of course C810 OTF also appears on the 'bay (again) soon, not to flood the market, like

So just a strict 'cost of restoration vs. value after' is not sensible either. But I somehow can't help having the impression that he wants to unload something that turned out being hopeless. KruJoe
This is an ace picture! No bids at 99p, on LPG too. Needs bushes or summert for a test, and you're sorted with cheap luxury motoring.
