Look at this peach. 40 k miles one owner form new!

416 Owned by his late father.

My father in law died 14 months ago, and there is a tidy (but not this tidy) 1991 216 in his garage. Mother-in-Law Egg wants to leave there to rot rather than sell it on cos of the memories - understand, but  :-(

One owner Astra Sri with a chav tastic interior. Correct me if I'm wrong but should this have trims and they are Cav Sri 130 alloys?

SRi 130 or Astra GET 16V wheels on that, I think. Pretty sure the Mk2 Astra SRi would have had those sort of 'bloated' wheel trims.

I've been saying I don't like e34's but this one is a tempter! No advisories on the new MOT. At least its not the 518!

Would this be single or double overhead cam?

I recon that's the SOHC one carried over from the e28. I think they're only about 125 bhp, which isn't much for one of these big tanks.

(Now dropped to £1250, by the way, which probably hasn't improved the Paranoid Android expression.)

Edit:  LOL at

Yeah, I can see it's effin RAMMED in that semi-derelict concrete yard of yours.

That is a terminally depressed expression.

I had an e28 520i and it was slow to accelerate but had plenty torque. I used to bomb along at 100 on my private test track and it was  quiet as anything and made a great noise. My temp gauge didn't work and I drove it from East Kilbride to Selkirk in the borders with little or no water in it and once I topped it up and fixed the water pump gasket it was fine.

i just gotta shear a pic of the n/s wing of the xkr....

Thing is, if the wing's like that, the (e-type) front floorpans are going to be non-existant.  That's the self-destructing 4.0 with chocolate timing gear, too.  What a festival of fun to be had.

I though all the early Jaguar XK's were gone once I saw one in the local Scrappy last year. Looks like I forgot about the early XKR's.

Shame, the prices of them say I should buy,yet I know just how bad they can be...

2500 grand for this XKR but the body is bursting out more than me after spending 2 weeks shoehorning mince pies and beer down my hole for the last 2 weeks. I recon there's a dormant weldfest ready to erupt here.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw an XK. I'd forgotten they'd even made them until now.

This isn't far from me, its a 2.2 and been off the road for 2 years but looks nice and supposedly has a great engine. He's had a single bid from a zero-rater of £200. I am thinking of making him an offer, my experience of these is theyre really well made and a great steer, i've only ever driven a 1.6 16v or a 2.0 DTi, I imagine a 2.2 must be pretty swift. Any views?

I bet they go like stink. My 1.6 16V feels fast enough for a 1.6 so with the extra power? Is it the same engine as the VX220 ?

Mot'd DAF.

I had a bid on that when it went through ebay about 3 months ago. Made about £550 IIRC.

If it's such an easy project then why hasn't he sorted it?

Astra GTE 16V also had them. So in the family. The only alloy wheel that was designed to look like a wheel trim.

The early versions of this wheel have more metal which means a mk3 cav GSi front brake caliper (and disc) won't fit, whilst the later ones have less metal and will.

That I know this is because hours of head scratching following fitment of said brakes to a mk2 cav 1.8 sri and 4 alloys from 3 internet auctions. It's all in the date code.

'Like' because 1. Good point, 2. I like your username and 3. We can never have too much DAF content.
