I got offered a stupidly cheap XK8 not that long ago, there seems to be quite a few with shagged engines/boxes about.

Running 306 D-Turbo with 130k on the clock and five months MOT. £100 with a day to go.

Ad is interesting reading. Doesn't sound hydro-locked, seller has minimal mechanical know how. Maybe jumped the timing belt a few teeth?

Too far up north for me, but might tempt a Yorkshire shiter

have we had this yet?

 

i'm betting that it will make a great project assuming that the displacers aren't fooked, the ad says the tires have been let down, though those wheels still look lower in the wheel arches than normal.

 

prehaps they just need a drop of hydrolastic fluid adding?

That 825 is a brown, saloon spec, slightly lower mileage version of my own manual, V6, non-bovine fastback.

 

Aside from the colour.
