V6 Laguna II Estate, £99 with no bids and 11 hours to go.

Though, admittedly this does look expensive with what people aren't paying for them on these pages.

I posted that a couple of pages ago, and the reply was that apparently been on a while!

As the resident ES9 expert, what do you reckon that problem is? Is it likely a HGF?

If easy fix, would be sorely tempted.

rad' 4 grand silver shad.

edit. I did an mot check on it and it;s got test until Dec 16 and looks to have a fair bit of work done to it if the previous fail sheet's anything to go by.

Fuck.

This is the strongest severance package blowage contender so far.

I mean, if you don't have a job, you should buy a nice Royce, ay?

Sorry, must've missed that. I'd be 99% sure it isn't the head gasket. My money would be on either a failing ignition coil (they can die slowly, giving strange unobvious symptoms), or a corroded loom or connection within the engine bay. Renault handily put a pretty major connection just below the rocker cover which ALWAYS weeps oil. If I were closer I'd certainly take a punt out of curiousity if nothing else.

Given it's a late 70s Shad II in a garish shade I'm slightly disappointed it doesn't have velour seats... Y'know, for extra tackiness.

I think the lack of velours seats, which most probably were fitted initially, going by the rear door cards, could be rectified.

Amazingly, the Roller manages to be tackier than the Caprice.

THIS OLD CLASSIC HAS BEEN LAID UP IN A BARN FOR THE PAST 14 YEARS!! BEFORE GOING IN THE SHED TO REST IT HAD AN ENGINE CONVERSION FROM THE 3.5V8 TO A 4L 4CYL PERKINS N/A DIESEL, THE ENGINE IS THE SAME AS THE ONES IN THE FERGY 135'S! AND IS BULLETPROOF, IT STARTS ON A SWITCH IN THE CAB AS KEYS WAS LOST, FIRES UP INSTANTLY WITH VERY LITTLE SMOKE AND RUNS LIKE A SWISS WATCH, NO BREATHING OR OVERHEATING ISSUES. (WAS RUNNING IN ALL PICS

'1959 mini minor prototype,"mk2 mini minor" BARN FIND 621 AOK , unique car !!'

Check out the letter from Rover  '...I think the registration of the first Mini kept at the museum is 621 AOK?!'

So they've created this car that was based on looking as much like the original as possible, they visited the museum looked at the car, took pictures and yet still managed to knock this horrible looking thing up and not know what the original number plate was?

These have started to float down into my <1k search range, and how bad can it be?

It's an HDi, so I'm assuming the same PSA lump. Must be fairly reliable?

WCPGW?

Currently £50

I assume they're cheap because

a ) French badge, thus at that age are not trusted.

b ) They look like a beached whale - especially the estates.

However I think they can come with air/hydro suspension and thus are cool.

I know the guy selling that white mini. He actually an alright guy, he had an FSO garage in the 80's.

Puts a fucking big mark up on some stuff though, blue colt in his other items could of been mine for £850 (most of the cars he sells come from our yard)

Proper old Mini (apart from the steering wheel).

Reading the advert for the "1959 Mini that isn't" I understand the story the bloke is trying to tell - although the headline is totally misleading and the whole story has a whiff of bullshit about it. Never heard a story that Austin Rover, or whatever it was called that week, decided to reintroduce a Mini modelled on the first 621AOK Mini. Irrespective, other than being white, they clearly didn't put too much effort in to the whole idea.

I quite fancy a Metro, nearly 30 years after I couldn't get rid of the one I had quick enough.

I think I may need some sort of help.

Meanwhile, this has just come back on - I remember posting it back in the summer.  I bet even Mr Bickle doesn't have one of these - well, one, maybe, but definitely not more than three.

£28,950 quid ?

Are these people fucking joking, or what ????

A potentially confusing amount of 'useful' information in this ad, but please read all the way through to check out the asking prices.
