Not eBay, bit the holy grail of shite motoring was found at a reasonable price. Be silly of me not to share the love.

That Ibiza is the full on Povo spec Pushrod Fiat engined one. They also oddly offered the 'Designer' with the top spec 1.5 System Porsche motor too - I think that is the one that Mr Bickle has.

Must admit I wouldnt much fancy a 903 fiat engined one. I'm all about the 'SYSTEM PORSCHE'

Those Ibizas had an awkward bus-like driving position.

When Seats were first being imported to the UK by Mazda UK, I got a rather unenviable casual job one winter delivering the press fleet to journalists.  This involved setting off before dawn to arrive at far-flung local newspaper offices, but the worst bit was having to wash the road grime off them in petrol stations with a sponge and freezing water and then dry them with a chamois leather so they looked presentable for the journo.

Mk1 Toledos were by far the best of the bunch, but istr that even Marbellas had a more comfortable driving position than the Ibiza - unless you got stuck with the white Marbella van, which was regarded as the short straw.  Bet there aren't many Marbella vans left now!

My Mum had one of those Ibiza's brand new on a D plate. I tried to say my mum had a "Porsche" in school which impressed a few not in the know. I think it was the posh one too with the Multi spoke alloys.

In other news it's only a J plater!

clean looking 'stranger in this land' - were Opel Vectra A's /1s etc here.... Vauxhall cavalier 1.7TD in Cork, here that's giving me the eye at the moment - owners dog has an appetite for seat belts... his mechanic on the other hand having no appetite for welding....

...since theres no phone no' listed I have applied in writing via 'e-mail' to 'give her a happy home' n tickle her underskirt with me sparkly rod...(tho I have no space or use for it as my current disco is taxed for next 3 months...)
