rare 216 GTi with the 128bhp twink, this will be an ace little blaster

Ooh, that's ace.

However..

BOOT SEAL LEAKING A LITTLE.
That's likely to be rust around the hatchback hinges letting water in.

That Xedos looks brill for £200!

I remember driving a non-turbo 405 diseasal Estate back in 1994 (A one year old 'Style'?), just after passing my test.

It was the first diesel car I'd driven, and I honestly thought it was broken - I think I was pushing the accelerator so hard, I stretched the throttle cable. It really was that s-l-o-w.

(Still wouldn't say no to that one, likes :) )

Some of them seemed to go better than others. We had a pair of 1989 saloons when I was driving taxis in the early 1990s- the GLD was quite lively but the GRD very much wasn't.

That whole "only fools and hearses" thing is terrible from the idea right through to the website.

Tacky in the extreme.

I've always loved these, this'll be a cracker once someone gets it running again.

Somebody thinks they can, bidding is over £500 now, ends tomorrow.
