Just as an aside, but it appears that every other car in the Classic Car section of eBay is a Ford. It's actually starting to get a bit boring, personally speaking. And I like classic old shite Fords.

As restoration projects go this looks pretty clean. I'd sack of those bumpers, though, sack them right off. *edit* Actually I've just remembered those late model GLs had big bumpers from the factory, in which case as you were.

well at least you don't often see them on the road anymore.

That's the first good thing I've heard about them.

I mean, really, who the actual f*ck wants a car that looks a bargain bin Donnay trainer from Sports Direct?

Five quid to anyone who can superglue a Rampant Rabbit into that spy camera looking thing  in the bonnet. This car is actually beyond hideous.

'the registration which is one of a kind the only one which has a high value to chauffeur an chauffeured elite which give's unique status to any chauffeured vehicle.'

I've seen higher value snot covered crayons under the back seats of a 300,000 mile Vauxhall Zafira.

1978 VANDEN PLAS 1500 Automatic

Originally supplied new to the Farmers & Dairymen Mutual Ltd on the 3rd February 1978 by the Lex Motor Company, this Astral Blue VDP has stayed within Cardiff's boundaries for the majority of its life, 33 years to be precise !

The second owner was a Mrs M.Watkins of Cardiff who purchased the car on the 24th June 1980. The next owners were the Jenkins family from Cardiff (you can see a pattern emerging here !), firstly by Mr C.Jenkins on 1st April 1982, then his son Mr K.Jenkins on 14th May 1994 and then into Mrs J.Jenkins name on 2nd February 2010. It was bought by Mr.Dexter from Sheffield on 14th November 2011 and he then sold it again to a Mrs Thompson in Sheffield on 29th April this year but she was unable to drive easily without power steering and so i bought it on the 10th May this year.

I have a printout from the dvla with all the previous owners details and some previous Mot's.  It has all the usual Vdp trimmings of leather, walnut dash and the folding picnic tables in the seats.

It has only covered 49130 miles and i have not been able to use it as planned at all this year so it is another reluctant sale of my classic car collection.

If you have any questions please ask and if the winner could collect it within 7 days please.

Yeah I have a question - can you tell me what the car's like? Also, got any pictures?

So they passed their test so no longer need a car? I don't get it. What no earth were they doing with it before hand?

Gumtree. Don't ask. You don't want to know.
