"this car will go forever"

No it won't, these rot out badly. Already had the rear sills welded 'professionally' and it has been undersealed, to hide all the other areas which are rusting. Chap in the background has a certain look on his face,,,

Do they rot that badly? I had a few P10 Primeras when they were plentiful, they all had a bit of sill crispiness but the rest of the bodywork and underneath were ok.

The 2.0 diesel is a plodder but great on veg oil. Half tempted myself.

All those (grand total of three!) I've seen in the last year have been rotting badly, which isn't enough for official stats but was enough for me! Worth looking at, see when the cambelt was last done too. The running gear will go on for ever, if you pressure treat the internal box sections with some anti-corrosion gloop then the shell could go on for ages too, if it's not so bad at the moment.

i alway thought the P10 was a proper old skool jap, the bodies drop to bits on them eventually but the engine and gearbox last for ever (almost)

an i cannot get over the Poojo 205 CJ above for £500-odd notes, that has me half tempted to say the least (plus its not far from home,...)

Yep, that CJ looks a very good buy. If anyone wants me to bob over and have a look, I will - it's only half an hour away or so.

That Camarohas some interesting paperwork with it.

An invoice* for £10,500 for work that includes a n engine 'rebuild ' for a few hundred but an exhaust for £5000.

There's also an estimate from Lamborghini to H R Owen for a Gallardo exhaust system, this is supposed to convince you this front engined car has £5k 's worth of brand new exhaust off a mid engined super car.

At absolute best someone may have scavenged the tailpipes from the scrap pile at a Lamborghini dealer.

Lovely little Honda, way over my budget and much too pretty to leave by the North Sea. The restoration still ongoing too, it seems.

poor wee sunbeam stiletto deserves MUCH better than that!
