this isn't shite money, but i really love the a40 farina.

dunno if it is really my thing, but i'll just leave this here anyway.

I love these too. Could be a 'forever' car (as in the current thread on here)? They seem to be fetching high prices now - going well out of shite territory.

This one has a long MOT (and lots of wob?). Needs a clutch soon - can't be a bad job on one of these?

^ I'm interested in the idea of wrapping cars in cling film as a method of storage.  Does that work as badly as you'd expect, especially if you miss out the roof?

I'm tellin' ya, man.

Its ebay, its ready for postage......

It does seem exceptionally tidy and cheap, do these have any redeeming features whatsoever?

Pillarless doors, 120BHP. They're on my radar.

Pillarless doors are, next to popup headlights, one of the finest features a car can have.  Also surprise at car from USA producing actual power from an engine that would not be suitable for powering a small cargo ship.

Has this been on?  If so, it's a repeat.  All the best things get repeated.

Those Sunny Estates were a proverbial sore thumb in the Nissan range.

The other Sunnys of that age actually looked quite modern while the estate and van looked a decade older and had such a blatant anti styling design that had a home made look about it.

Reminds me of a Talbot Express camper I spotted once with sealed beams bodged in place of the original rectangular headlights. That wasn't a styling success either.

Funnily enough, until recently there was a yellow ex-AA Talbot Express I often saw around locally which had the same odd conversion.  It was around for years, I can't imagine finding the right replacement lights was any harder than making the round ones fit and would have looked a lot better!

Reference those Sunny estates. I worked with a guy who sold Nissans during the late 80s early 90s. Apparently, according to him, a load of new unregistered RHD models were discovered knocking about a storage area in Japan a few years after they went out of production. They were then shipped over and punted out alongside the new shape for a bargain price. He recalls that customers had trouble setting up insurance due to being way out of model year. I always wondered how much, if any, truth was in that. But they were well out of date.

I'm a little surprised that these don't pop up on the Autoshite radar more often.

The fact it'll self grenade very shortly. Which, to be frank, is the best thing that could happen.
