Regardless of the colour, if you presented me with a battered 2.5 diesel LDV minibus with structural gaffer tape and a dead animal hanging from the (apparently wooden) aerial and asked me to give it a name, I would not suggest 'Daffodil'.

^  Nah, it's a nice long drive to get acquainted with your new car.

I consider myself generally quite optimistic.  This, however, is going one step further.  Any Sierra that's been parked in someone's garden for 12 years and is still 'solid as a rock underneath' is defying physics, biology and chemistry.  No sign that it's actually been extracted yet either, so a session on a four-post lift might be a little more critical.

I wouldn't normally steam into a hot rod as they are a passion of mine and it's all about being individual but I'm happy to make an exception this time

  the ultimate hot rod

No, it's fucking not. IFS, radial tyres, CVH, motor bike exhaust, the list is endless.

You do not have a hot rod. What you actually have is a car that has had some hot rod touch's applied to it. There is a world of difference.

50 miles more than my journey to pick up the Y10 - &then I drove it back via Wales. Go on. Go on go on go on!

thats a shame.

I quite like that in all honesty (hot rod thingy). It looks to be an interesting and seemingly solid base from which to start the individualising process properly.

I wouldn't say no even though it looks a bit long. It would be an ongoing project but at that kind of price I am very, very out.

Have you read the good points/bad points list? Good points are such things as 'has been owned before by some God Squad' and bad points are 'it's actually about to fall to pieces'

It's a lot of brass to buy a car that's been hot rodded. and after shelling out all that money, you still wouldn't have a hot rod.

Please let me roof chop your Volvo instead. We could make a very nice lead sled out of it

Mildly twat-bothered Mitsubishi eight speed.

"This is car is stupidly rare"  (Expensive at £3995)...."less than 100 miles in the last 15 years."

Oh my god.  My favourite era of Colt.  I love Mirages, but would prefer a Sigma.  NO CHANCE EVAR.

Drive it away for £350, leave the stickers on, tell your neighbours that your brand new Bentley/Aston/Porsche etc is in for repairs remapping to OMG 700bhp innit.  Win at Autoshite AND Pistonheads.

I used to have one of those with a removable bit of roof. Sunchaser liftback. Unfortunately it was also a rainsodden rustback.
