Wow that MGB has the worst bonnet bulge I have ever seen.

Also the boot "spoiler"

perhaps that Volvo has a lazy eye, I can remember the kids with sticking plaster over one lens of their NHS specs to cure it

The reason why I'm selling for spares or repairs is because the steering rack has come through the bulkhead.  A local garage confirmed this last week.

FARRRK!! Never heard of that, is this common? £500 start, pikey plate "Worth £250" apparently.

Yes. The bulkhead cracks, because GM didn't really put much thought into what happens when you take a Stihl Saw to the roof.

"Coming through" sounds extreme, but it starts by the pedals moving when you turn the wheel lock to lock. Can be welded up, but there's a small matter of a dashboard and engine in the way.

Somebody removing most of the suspension travel on that one probably didn't help, either. Stance, yo... oops.

Sounds like a bundle of laughs.

A couple of these Mk5s seem to be seeping out of the woodwork lately but the attrition rate seems to have been catastrophically high, I can't remember the last time I saw one.  Are they really as bad as their reputation?  My Mk4 was a pleasant and likeable, if totally unremarkable car, still plenty of them around too.  They can't have made it that much worse, surely.

Those MK3 Granadas lack of scene naffness is to be admired. Whilst everything else period blue oval gets drooled over buy some Duffer branded numskull, these seem to have held on to the dignifying, but uncool, Grandad barge image remarkably long.

Even though that one appears to be a poverty-spec 2.0 auto, metallic beige still makes it look quite classy and sophisticated.  Probably the sort of car you bought new when you'd done particularly well that year but weren't showing off about it.

Is it just me or are the ebay search filters 'auto-selecting' for other folks too at the moment?

I normally use the 'Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles' category, and order by most recently added. Just now I'm finding that the category automatically switches to where most of the results are found instead of my broader search, and also goes for 'Best Match' on the ordering.

So - say I've searched for 'Camry' in 'Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles', it's then showing me results in 'Cars > Toyota' and missing the subcategories like 'Classic Cars' that I would have got with my chosen search. Pain in the arse.

So - here's the end of my previous search...

Now - type in my new search term, but leave category and order as they were...

Hit 'Search' and be slightly disappointed as the 'auto-applied' filter is losing me some results.

That Thunderbird advert hurts my head.    "I will let it go now at £1,200; therefore, at a total cost of 'about £2,000 you end-up with a £4,000 Classic'."   OK.

Also, Engineer Fitter?   What a twat.
