Can't speak for the rest of The SVM but I won't be having another 940 if I can avoid it... these late ones can rot like a mutha if left to their own devices.

That particular example does look pretty tasty though. Buy it, drive it until the body dissolved then stick the engine in a 240 and modify.

How late? Mine's an N plate, should I be worried?

Worth getting it up in the air and having a good look. As barmy as it sounds, Swedish built Volvos are worse for grot than Belgian ones in the SVM's experience.

940 was alright but it didn't feel as nice as the 740 so I'd have one of those in preference. 2.3 manual estate PLZ.

My K-plate was fine... my R-reg looks like it's been submerged. Only seems to be very late 97/98 models which are affected though, my E and G-plate 740s are minty fresh underneath but the R-plate would need both front crossmembers and the inner wings done, which is why I'm breaking it fairly soonish.

I only ask as I see this as a suitable replacement for my Lass's Micra, fingers crossed it may be had for less than an impending tyre and clutch bill.

I'm current high bidder as I quite fancy one of these, but if you want to go for it feel free - my max bid isn't very high.

Elsewhere, is the last chance to buy a Rangie classic for less than completely stupid money?  Just have to put up with a bit of lacquer peel.
