When I was a regular hitch-hiker, these were my favourite ride. They were known as "snufflers" back then.

You must be very old.

I had to look up the 7 Series' "dreaded fuel leak".

Tin box full of fuel, with multiple faults designed in and a grand to fix.

I thought German cars are so good and never break?

I also thought that properly made fuel tanks are somewhat contributing to cars refrain from exploding and that badly designed or manufactured fuel tanks could be considered a reason for a recall? I don't even want to imagine the universal outcry if the Rover 75s would be such miserable shit, but fact is, that if a car doesn't even have a functional fuel tank, I'd steer well clear of it in fear of all the other shortcuts expected to be incorporated in its design and fabrication. I begin to find German cars as irritating as I do Japanese ones.

The engine bay became a shelter for wild rabbits and unfortunately the mice have enjoyed chewing quite a bit of wiring

Very kind of you those rabbits do get cold in the winter. Anyway the car doesn't look too bad.

Car was found on ebay and after whole day trip brought back from Scotland here to Derby where it's been kept in dry locked garage waiting to be restored - and then stripped out all parts boxed and body set on a moving platform

Okay well I suppose it's all stripped down and dried out now.

now unfortunately outside under a pvc cover.

1000 quid Minor with MOT.This is just up the road and I'd quite fancy it if I wasn't so lazy.

I think you need to be a member of the facebook groups to see it.

So what groups are they from?  There's no point in putting them up here if we can't access them, nor have the information required to gain access to them.  The name of the group isn't included in the link url, and Facebook doesn't even let you see that.

For all the worth they are, they may as well be links from the forum of the Avenger and Sunbeam Owner's Club.

These wide-arched Marcos things are brilliant, I reckon.  All the usual refinements of a Metro, but a fibreglass monocoque construction to large it up over anything except an original Lotus Elite.

How an add should be written

I honestly tried to read it, but finally fell into a deep coma-like sleep, from which I've not yet awoken, after "and delivered on that same day to a Mr Angus Dixon of Wakefield"

sorry, I jumped the gun. £300 sheets for one pre-exploded. I suppose it would save you checking the temp guage every thirty seconds like I do
