I'm especially liking the "couldn't be arsed to get out of my own car to take a photo" picture

Presumably Polish plates are quite useful in ensure speeding fines and parking tickets get "lost in the system"?

Same for insurance and tax. Until you get pulled over that is.

Same age and colour scheme as the one I posted the other day, but this has less dents/rust, but no MOT. Unfortunately for me and my poorly attempted fleet reduction scheme its about 8 miles away .... I'm currently trying to arrange a viewing :D

That X1/9 looks really nice and I don't suppose it will be around for long at that price

Just spoke to the guy about that X1/9 ... I'll be going for a look tomorrow afternoon. Its very close to my B-I-L's garage (1 mile away) and right next to an abandoned airfield for a test drive ;)

Beg to differ:

beg to differ (with somebody) (slightly formal) also beg to disagree (with somebody) to have a different opinion

Buying this one means another B.L, Austin Rover, MG Rover product can be rescued and brought back to a good state of health !. I don't make any profit out of this sort of thing, quite the opposite in fact, I do it for the love of British Cars. Sad but true....But i'm sure many of you understand !!

Sounds like a decent chap, even if he is slightly mad.

This guy is SHIT HOT with the camera:

RONG engine, but that SD3 is still a beaut.

Possible stupid question alert but ff the SD1's the SD1 and that's the SD3 what's the SD2?

Nay, RITE engine shurely? 1.3's a Honda lump, 1.6 is a thirsty, unreliable Rover unit if I'm not wrong? *

My parents had a 216SE back in the early 90s, it was a great car but hopelessly rotten at 9 years old, its not surprising there's so few left.

*I probably am

I've a feeling SD2 was a Dolomite-based car that never came to anything.

'Twas going to be a Dolly replacement, very nearly happened, but the Acclaim deal with Honda was cheaper/easier/more sensible.

Not a bad looking thing. Bit Citroen-esque.

As a former 216S owner I thought the 213 Honda engine was the better bet? Much the same performance, easier on the gas than the S-series, and slightly less likely to ooze oil out of every gasket and self-destruct its ECU? Certainly the rong gearbox though.

I still think these SD3s look fantastic and have an unmatched interior for the time, why oh why they had to make them from pre-fizzing steel, otherwise they'd still be all over the place today.

The main body is only held in place by a seized steering column to rack joint.

You can just imagine this guy surrounded by empty cans of WD, hammers and blowtorches; "OH F**K IT I GIVE UP, ITS GOING ON EBAY IN THE MORNING"

I would laugh my tits off if he's failed to remove the clamp at that joint. Must admit, that's my kind of kit car.

I briefly had a 213, but preferred my 216S. It just felt better. The Vitesse I had later (same engine as the 216S but with injection) was nice but felt a bit weird for some reason. Neither S Series leaked any fluids.

Also had a Vitesse, rated it quite higly. Did like the 213 too, though neither were a patch on the 1.5 Ballade.

Look at this honk of shite. Hey wheres old KruJoe lately?

Good spot Testes! Only £75 too, but it's four years too young, and in the arse-end of nowhere.

I've had my work cut out trying to crow-bar my ropey BX through another MOT. That and work has kept me busy to say the least. I still check in to keep an eye on things; this thread is essential daily viewing.

Not a bad looking thing. Bit Citroen-esque.

Ha ha look at that! It looks like my BX and Samara copped off and gave birth!

While I'm here, have this from my watch list.

That looks ace, especially for that money- looks like the leather may have been dyed though- it should have a tan interior. Same colour scheme as my 2nd to last X1/9

They just seem to attract (mostly) the same sort of people who's idea of being 'individual' is to buy as much shit as possible from a Sunday market car accessory stall. All this really needs to shout HOUSE in shit car car bingo is some of those Chinese dragon seat covers.
