amazing, my late grandpa had a Rover 216 which was also Fxxx DOB. I can't recall the numbers but it must have come from the same area in the same year.

 

His one rusted in half though, in ~2004 and got scrapped. Shame really as it was an otherwise nice car.

Velshatis with the if you really have to have one best to get it with the 350z engine fro 595 quid. Gearbox is borked obviously

 

HAS GEARBOX FAULT, NEEDS SERVICE ON GEARBOX, after 1 hour of driving gearbox fault light comes on),

 

Just stick some redex or bovril or something in, it'll be fine

This guy has done 90,000 miles in this 220 coupe. It's no mot and has a couple of faults

 

 

one of the last times I drove the car, I experienced the steering suddenly going very light and had the feeling, for a nano second, that the car wasn?t travelling in the exact direction the steering wheel was pointed.

Head gasket probably needs replacing.

Drivers door is jammed shut,

n/s door won?t lock.

n/s front tyre loses pressure - no puncture, tyre wall not sealing against inner rim of wheel.

Luckily though he's included a picture of this stone chip.

Still it'd be good if some hero took it on and fixed it up. I bet these will be pretty mcuh extinct in 2-3 years

Hmm.  That's not all that much more than I paid for mine.  The 350Z engine is probably less likely to shit itself too.  The gearbox already has, but I rarely drive for more than an hour at a time so probably wouldn't be a major issue.  Oh well.
