seems like a solid base, I must own one one day, my dad had many of them, one of my memories is my dad weighing in a brown one, no idea why I reckon he'd had a skinful, drove to scrap yard, weighed it in, walked home. I must have been about 8 or 9

Please someone buy this so I don't go sniffing about the old Lotus....

Derskine alert, I think that engine will drop straight into his 18 diesel that has a broken cambelt.

It should do - they actually did an R18 with the 2.1 TD from the factory, although I don't think it was ever sold here.  A lad I knew in France had one in the late '90s - it went like the clappers.

I almost bought this J reg Clio this morning, but Peter James wanted an extra £83 to insure it so I didn't. Seller sounds a decent lad when I messaged him, and it had cambelt, tensioner and waterpump done last year.

OK it's an automatic Renault, but looks decent enough.

I talked myself into it, collecting this tomorrow morning. Being a J plate it has the crummy earlier seats and 2 spoke steering wheel, brilliant!

This is the only vaguely sensibly priced one of these I've seen in a long while, even if it is fucked.

This Mondeo is currently at £51 - keep an eye on it....(suspension arms done, new battery, exhaust)

Edit: decoded the reg number - P441UUD, MOT history is excellent.

depending on the reserve this could be a steal.

Edit2: this is better than mine, ok I have the cachet* of early model, but this has more usable 1.8, 'electric current' red paint work....headlights that won't go yellow...

'Scooter has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 4527 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.'
