^ 220s are T-Series so less prone to OMGHGF. They make up for that by leaking oil from all possible orifices.

A 220 Turbo must be an utter riot.

I bought this without the wife's permission and now she's most upset...and that's putting it mildly. So, to help lower tensions its up for sale!

This doesn't look dear , on the Blue Forum.

Seems some over there are are Holier than thou and come over all PH/ Mumsnet about it been on a tax free book. It's an old Cortina with a Rover V8 shoved in it, as far as I'm concerned saving £250 odd a year is a good thing and I don't think Bonhams will value it any less for not having a deep clock dash.

Call me ol' Mr Perceptive, but when the dubiously spaced "private plate" is easier to understand than the sellers spelling, I suspect you're not dealing with the sort of middle-class professional who will have cherished the car ;)

Fingers crossed for you!

The interiors lovely still, and from what you can see in the pics it was white originally. Hopefully the black paint will power wash off, or at least strip back fairly easily. Assuming of course the matt black bothers you?! Personally I'd try to get it off.

Thank you!  I'm not too worried about the scrappy black, with a bit of luck it will put off a few buyers.  Once it's mine, of course, there are several options open to me.  Live with it, because the car will be parked on-street; try to wash it off, but after my experience with the MR2 alloys I don't think that will happen; or get it in for a cheap blowover given that the prep has been done recently!  Anyone else seeing this in their head...?

It's a hundred and six miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
