These are still a fantastic looking car especially for a Jap. We had a 2.3 one a good few years ago always fancied a VTEC one.

What a shame if that lovely blue & white A60 ends up going round the track. It's a really nice example and belonged to an elderly lady in Knaphill, Surrey. She'd owned it from new, used it sparingly and had it nicely restored in (I think) the early nineties. Sadly she ran into the back of another car on her way into Woking one day. I spotted the car last year at the top her son's driveway (he'd just pulled it out from long-term dry storage). The whole family were about to move to the Isle of Wight - the son was adamant the car would be going with them and intended to pay for the necessary restoration work. I know this because I expressed my concern that the A60 would go walkabouts if left unattended on an open driveway. He seemed genuinely interested in the car and assured me it's future was secure (I asked him to let me know if he changed his mind and was open to offers).

So I'm not sure how or why it's ended up with the chap in Gatwick. One thing seems certain - even at £1,150 I can see the poor old thing being stripped and raced in time for that awful 'all-A60' meeting this summer. I really wish I had the spare cash to do something positive about this, but I don't and am struggling to find the time/money to get my own Cambridge (estate) back on the road! I might just give him a call tomorrow and find out more though...

Currently £410 with 14hrs to go. Has a Ruston Engine which is probably worth 3k.

That Granada is fantastic and well within Alexg's £2500 Allegro replacement budget, even with travel costs involved. Am sure the missus would wholly approve of a trip to France to boot. There's always the guaranteed profit sale to some thick-necked individual with a penchant for shit wheels (or Dulux) at a later date.

This looks cheap at £350 opening gambit with a full MOT. The number plate seems familiar...

It's a former autoshiters car, it ended up on ebay after Aled sold it on with a shiny colour of paint, a friend of mine bought it and found that it was fucked and it never ran properly, This wasn't Aled but the bloke who bought it afterwards had bodged it up to sell on for $$$, then Dom bought it of my mate for use for a bit.

He bought it along to one of our car meets in the summer.

Thanks, Wuvvum. I did a bit of a Google and it looks like the vans had the same unit too, so I expect there's a little more hope in finding one of those.
