Yep, bASe model Mk1 Fiestas had the washer pump on the floor.  Same as my Renault 6 (and my old D Series, although the floor button on that worked an electric pump).

One of these was the first automatic I drove and aside from an exploding plastic water pump on my way to a job interview it was pretty nice. Relaxing not exciting.

All of these Spartan Polos can get in the sea. I'm surprised they fitted seats, that's how mingebag they are.
