Buy one now while you still can, because they are not going to get any cheaper. These are a fantastic package, no need for the 3.2 V6 or DSG or anything like that, the 1.8t found in about 98% of them is all you need. A good, low mileage, nicely spec'd, low owner, early(ish) example is going to be worth a lot of money in the not too distant future IMO. We have a nearly identical 1999 example at home (only difference being black leather instead of blue) that has done 27k miles.

Rover Metro, apparently discovered in a popular type of rural outbuilding, although I have a suspicion the seller knew it was there all along. I'll be honest, I've seen worse rear arches on these. Could be a viable project, and a bit of a rarity being Badermatic.
