Interesting reading about the options available for the mk1 Metro. Occasionally mk1’s appear on Facebook on spotted threads, and I tire of the millennials and their ill-founded opinions that mk1 Metros are all shit and no one ever liked them.

Having owned one years ago (mustard yellow, early 81 Mini Metro for maximum points), I have to admit to enjoying owning it. Less rusty than my old Mk1 Golf, handled like it was on rails, good on fuel, and much nicer to drive than a Mini of the same era. Oh, and they sold by the masses when released.

Justification over.

I owned a 1275 sport and a turdo.

 

Both great and shit at the same time.

 

Never failed to proceed. Always developing faults due to lack of development testing.

And rust. Both white so more obvious
