The "Name That Part" Thread...

I'm sure many of us have happened upon these orphaned components that now clutter up the garage, so how about a thread dedicated to identifying them?

Please add as much detail as you are able, eg numbers on the part, approximate age etc.

Here are two for a start;

Firstly a pattern part sump, made by Trupart automotive, 17 mounting holes and found in the back of a scrap 2008 Astra H SRi Diesel.

Secondly is this starter motor, I know it's from a Mercedes (possibly c class?) but haven't dug up anything from the part number on the body FDB050413

Kawasaki Z200 starter chain and pinion .....

I'd like to know, might be off an MG from 50's as my old man had one.

It could well be XPAG-related.   Doesn't look like a B series one. 

 

 

Does it say MOWOG on it or anything?

I would name the sump Gerald, the starter motor Antonio and the chain Frederica. Hope that helps.

I’ve got a fiver that says the pattern part sump doesn’t actually fit anything.
