Petrbrough in the fine rain that they have on sad days in films.

These things happen and the shitter seller could not have been more honest and kind given the situation. Half way home by train at York now. Having a cream bun and DRUGS POP while I wait for the connection.

Cars do know when they're being sold and they do like to show their displeasure sometimes.

You. Aye you. Hello. Nice to make your aquantence. My name is lord sir Jimmy Crystal. Right hand of old Nick himself, deliverer of charity and weaver of the seven fingers. A journey awaits and you shall accompany me.

And so away we go. Up the road. Leaving the safety of the home behind.

First stop was the diesel snake. A beast that roars and clatters. Swallows you alive and spits you out elsewhere.

Er. I have a student rail card that expired in 2010. Will that do?

I used our wait until the connection to do some required reading.

The next train north was more luxurious.

We thundered on northwards.

After a while we got through to the location of the prize.

And I was given a choice.

One or the other.

It's a 207 1.6hdi. Remarkable only for the fastidious attention to detail lavished on it by previous owner.

This is from a previous sale thread.

When a boring car comes along from an owner willing to spend this much time and money on, it's a no brainer to buy it.

It's quick enough, very frugal (more so even than the Prius) and in great order. Was a lovely drive home and barely sipped to the first mark on the gauge over the trip.

Great car and a great day out.

Big thanks to @davehedgehog31 for being a top seller, for meeting me halfway and for leaving half a tank in it. A+++++ trusted shitter.

Lies, I've walked past there around the time this photo was taken and haven't seen a single Teletubby!

I had quite a boring day at work doing the admin tasks I was paid to do and to think I could have eased the tedium following along with your adventures instead. A most excellent purchase that I hope serves you well Mr Bell. Thanks as ever for sharing.

Big development!

Genuine OEM NOS rubber mats arrived. No car is complete with decent mats.

Morse code motif is pretty cool.
