UR Chance To Buy Abandoned Cars In France.

I couldn't find a category for scary cars F/S in France, so started this one.

Cars are IN France, not necessarily Made in France.

The setting looks like "Jurassic Park IV"

several deserve the AutoShite Most Needs to be Cubed award

Adam Encheres (le marchand?)

"Department 65 ----- Secret Location"

(they're keepin' locale secret-like, but near Tarbes)

January 20th, 2019 Auction half-way between the Bay of Biscay and Andorra

Someone messed up & salted the sale w/ a few better-than-average cars. These 4 American, British, German, and Italian cars will fetch more than the the other 78 lots combined, most likely.

Ebay tat thread, please.

Does this one not deserve a thread of its own? If it was one car, I'd agree with Tat Thread. I'm hoping there's more to come... (wallet hidden)

A bit like Kaufdorf a few years back.

Allegedly there is a similar one near St Truiden in Belgium.

I wonder how many of these "collections" exist throughout Europe and Britain.

#13    I'd call this a 75-dollar corvette. I first read about these cars for sale on the AACA antique auto discussion forums, when someone from France described the auction and some of the cars. He said he was interested in this Corvette. An American described these Corvettes from the "Malaise Era" (around 1981) as the least desirable of that model, and not worth anything on either side of the Atlantic in this condition. The French gentleman countered that there's a big demand for any of these U.S. cars in his country. My feeling is it would sell in Sweden instantly.

Sod those, I can see some C15 fans in the background. I'd love to have a look around that lot, I expect the auction to go stupid with people bidding daft amounts on bits of scrap. Or this could be the long predicted bubble burst and the Miura will go fo €50

I shall be in France then, must have a look at the logistics........

You have a pickup truck and a trailer, don't you? Sorted. :D

Yes, but I was not planning on taking either this time....

And I have a couple of 2cv vans to chase down....

Thanks -- I thought it was a homely-looking Cadillac or Chrysler. They sometimes used a V design to say "Yes it has a V-8", but in this case it seems to say "Vauxhall" or "Velox".

The 1924-ish Sedan from the USA is a Stutz Speedway Six 7-Passenger Limo. I generally only like riding around in 1968 P400 Miuras that are that pukey yellowey-greenish chartreuse color they used, otherwise I'd click on the make-a-foolish-offer box and go in for a few hundred dollars hoping no one else noticed it. The Miura is almost certainly going to turn out to be a Fright Pig....a term my friend Keith Martin(talked to him 20 seconds at a car show) from Sports Car Market coined for a car you buy that looks good, but turns out to be a real can of worms when you try to sort it.

Daft time of year to have the auction. If it was closer to the Marciac Jazz Festival it would be worth the trip.
